This holiday camp offers a fun and artistic experience for young individuals who love to play, learn, and explore! Guided by well-trained puppeteers, the shadow puppetry programmes aim to nurture imagination and creativity, giving participants the confidence to express themselves freely through puppetry.

SHADOW PUPPETRY WORKSHOP

Shadow Puppetry can be fun, easy, and meaningful!

This workshop invites young participants to create their own shadow puppets and bring them to life through storytelling. They will learn the history of shadow puppetry, try both traditional and contemporary styles, and experiment with different techniques to illustrate the art form in their own way. With hands-on support from our skilled puppeteers, each participant can explore freely and grow in confidence and curiosity.

There is a mini showcase at the end, where parents are warmly invited to sit in and enjoy their child’s performance.

GRAVITY – A PUPPETRY PERFORMANCE

Due to a cosmic accident, a space-travelling astronaut suddenly finds himself back on Earth. The planet’s gravity throws him off balance, causing him to relearn what it means to be in a new environment.

Gravity – A Puppetry Performance offers an immersive and accessible experience for all ages, exploring themes of change and resilience, and gently reminding us that if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.

After the show, audience members are invited to learn how to manipulate the puppets seen in the performance.
