Stories When We Sleep

The Finger Players presents
Stories When We Sleep
Suitable for 6 to 11 years old
Tickets are required for all patrons including children and adults.
Synopsis
Stories When We Sleep is an art-focused, parent-child workshop that explores the lush, mysterious, but magical world of dreams. Through the art form of shadow puppetry and facilitated by local theatre company The Finger Players, each parent-child pair will collaboratively create a tactile shadow dream world reflective of their inner worlds.
This workshop is presented by The Finger Players, with the support of The Psychology Atelier and Singapore Children’s Society.
Objectives
To explore ways for the participants to creatively express their thoughts that may be otherwise challenging to verbalize
To increase interpersonal feelings of intimacy as adult and child are involved in the dream-sharing experience
To encourage young people to interact with other people whom they may find themselves being too shy or not confident to approach, through using the puppet as a proxy
