Arts Education Programme

ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMME

At The Finger Players, we believe in nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the arts from an early age. Through theatre and puppetry, we seek to partner educators in providing students with a well-rounded arts education during their formative years, laying strong foundations for creativity, empathy, and self-expression.

WHY PUPPETRY IN ARTS-BASED LEARNING?

DEVELOPING CONFIDENT PERSONS

Puppetry acts as a proxy, enabling students to express themselves confidently and reflect critically in a safe space and from multiple perspectives.

BECOMING ACTIVE CONTRIBUTORS

The collective manipulation of puppets requires coordination, shared decision-making, and active listening, fostering strong collaborative skills and ensemble awareness.

PRACTISING SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING AND BEING CONCERNED CITIZENS

Students are encouraged to engage in responsible decision-making and expand their social awareness which can improve self-management skills.
