Based on true stories from the National Archives of Singapore, My Friend, A Japanese Soldier is a powerful and educational drama about survival and courage in times of war. Weaving anecdotes of true-life accounts with dramatisation, the play will bring the audience back to the Japanese Occupation in 1940s Singapore. The lives and sentiments of the people will be conveyed via theatrical devices such as story-telling, puppets and audience-interaction.
